Default New Mist Warrior unique skill idea

This is a new skill i'm suggesting to replace the current clouded spirit-shift.
This is not a perfect build but a suggestion and an idea to spur towards the implementation of it.

Clouded delusion [ 61 ] [ 800 ] [ Fight - Fight ]

Quote:
Clouded delusion:

Usage: invoke 'clouded delusion'

Clouded delusion is an oe grei aura prevention ability. Grei abilities
fall within the sphere of the mystical grei aura. Clouded delusion can only be used when you are being attacked.

During a civil war among the Joufu guilds, they discovered the potential that can be harnessed from flanking tactics. One such guild was the Mist Empire. Their leader, Utuk'ku, managed to make use of their hidden mist abilities to make the most of flanking. One such skill that was passed among the guild was clouded delusion.

A master in this art is able to summon inner spirits to possess the fog that follows the master - taking the shape of the master's physical traits. The spirits will delude the master's victim into believing that the spirit is the victim's target. An unwise target would continue fighting the spirit while the real ninja flanks the victim into oblivion.

Because the spirit is in such a form, it cannot withstand blows of it's attacker and will sooner vaporize back into thin air.

The durability of the spirited-fog depends on the healthiness of its master.

Mechanics
prevention: It's a fix rate of 30minutes.
Size: The current HP of the user not the mod HP so if his hp was 10000/50000 at the time he used the skill - the spirit would have a hp of 10000
Counterable: Their intellect + wisdom(combine) must be higher than your willpower + dexterity(combine) to obtain a 80% chance of seeing through the fog.

Casting time: 3 rounds.
Spirit recieves 200% - meaning no resistances are taken into account and a * 2 of that damage
No damage is done by the spirit - but output shows the users normal attacks (prior to flanking)
You can't use it if no-ones hitting back at you.

How it works:
When the spirit is summoned it becomes like a pet which rescues the user without the target knowing that a spirit has taken over the users place. The spirit tanks while the user starts flanking the target. When the spirit dies it throws a combat global output and the user continues the fight with the target.
Though other people who enters the room can see the victim fighting a spirited-fog

This is what others and the user will see, when the target is fighting the spirit, if they type look or enters the room:
An alabaster statue is here, fighting a Spirited-fog!!
Izzral is here, fighting An alabaster statue!!

What the target will see:
Izzral is here, fighting You!!

Example:
FROM THE VIEW OF THE USER

You land [ 16 of 16 ] attacks on an alabaster statue: RUPTURING (412) damage!

[Izzral: (perfect condition)] [alabaster statue: (perfect condition)]
[H:51251] [S:10000] [E:24045] [L:2000]

Your spirited-fog rescues you!

This is when u might notice bit of change
You land [ 7 of 7 ] attacks on an Izzral: battering (288) damage!
Izzral lands [ 14 of 15 ] attacks on you: RUPTURING (436) damage!
You'll see no difference in the change of attacks
[Izzral: (you'll see his hp dropping bit faster)] [alabaster statue: (yours as well depending how good the flanking was)]
[H:51491] [S:10000] [E:24045] [L:578]

Keeps going till the combat output of the dead spirit and back to normal.
if you manage to see through the fog you'll get this:

Seems alright, although I can already hear the whines about using hakanai shouten and formation to get "unbeatable" Dex+Will. Perhaps if the number of attacks landed was the same, would be less likely to have the opponent decide to flee or whatever(then again, combat locking before that would work, I guess). Personally, I would think that trying to fight something that is basically little more than air, would be a bit of a struggle. Like physical attacks doing less damage(100% physical resistance, like the spirits), but magical attacks burning up the mist a little quicker(100% magical vulnerability or elemental vulnerability).

Have u nvr blow a clump of smoke? it never goes back into the exact position. Your hits will blow bits of the fog away. Anyways i think that's beside the point. What i would like from people are ways to improve the skill. I'm not saying all my mechanics are flawless. Maybe something might have been overlooked. And that's basically what a forum is for.

Nice idea, not to OP and easy to counter, would the target be able to redirect? And Im guessing the skill couldnt work if you were locked, Either way its a cool idea, I'd just have to make sure that I wrinkle you IE en 'wrinkle' izz, or is that not the idea?

Would you know to redirect? As I understand it, this is a silent attack and the person being attacked sees themselves attacking a char not a 'pet'

The thing with this spell is that it sets up the target in away that he has no knowledge that s/he is fighting someone else. It's coded that to the target it's just the ninja in the room and no one else. So if say the ninja is "izzral". If s/he spams cast 'lightning' izzral, it's gonna hit the spirit-fog.

The counterability is only calculated during the casting phase. If the target's stats are unable to beat the ninja's, s/he won't be able to see through the fog.

If s/he counters it, yes, then s/he can redirect(if not locked yet) to izzral or just kill the fog.

The only way to break out of it, if the fog was successful, (as was mention) is that the target takes notice of how fast the fog and your HP is dropping. This makes the gameplay abit more challenging as you would actually need to concentrate on all matters of the battle. So if you figure out that you're fighting a fog you can try flee from it thus breaking the spell.

-------------------------
On another note. Few secrets can be added to this spell.
Such as it is even usable through battle-locks or even impairements. Which throws a whole new strat when fighting against these deadly ninjas of the mist.
