Default Idea for a different type of "faction"

So here is an idea for adding a complex mob faction system. Add a series of 10-20 different "factions" (not quite the same as ruushi faction, but for lack of a better name at the moment....), and killing each mob modifies all factions to a varying degree depending on how that mob is aligned to the faction. E.g. if it is a true part of that faction it gives -1 (you killing that factions friend), if it is a directly opposed faction it gives +1. If it is closely aligned, it gives -0.25, if it is mildly opposed it gives +0.05 etc. But each kill modifies all factions +/- in some way.

So basically, at any time, you are moving up and down in the different factions. If you always run the same place, you will have 1 big faction, a few smaller ones, 1 big negative and a few small negatives.

The reason for having factions. Convert the vendors below the artisans guild in AV into something useful. Currently they basically just sell decorative gear anyway. Have them sell gear that is in general on par with Ruushi faction gear. However, each vendor has a special trade relationship with the people of 1 or 2 of the factions. Each of the factions only produces a few pieces of gear (either by slot or stats or both).

The vendor will only speak to you if you have a high enough faction with which he is aligned. Getting him to speak to you is only the first step. The higher the faction you have, the better the equipment he will show you. Kind of like if you have a low faction, he will show you the equivalent of ruushi crude+crude. If you have a really high faction, he will show you the equivalent of the ruushi top end gear. If you have a really really high faction he will give you a slight price discount.

The gear should cost from like 10-40k plats (based on quality) and have a lifetime of ~21days. Basically the equivalent of Ruushi gear. Since you have to get different factions to get different slots/stats and generally will have to get some opposing factions which will raise/lower each other, you will have to run different areas to be able to gear up fully.

The amount of faction needed should not be trivial of course, but this could be a way to get gear for people who don't want to do invasions or crafting. Since everything would raise a faction, normal running would open at least some possibilities, just maybe not what you wanted. But, for those who want to be able to take full advantage of the system, it would require that they get out of their comfort zones and run more than 1-2 areas. You would have to run a lot of different zones quite often.

Setting up this type of faction would also open up future possibilities for future faction based implementations.
