Class Question
 

I was wondering if I could get some peoples ideas on which classes run the best as mortals/minors? And why they think so? Also, if possible, some advice on races to go with said classes? Thank you very much!!

Trial and error, personal choice, EQ, all this has a bearing on your question.

Hence I'm asking for opinions..... I didn't ask which run the absolute best. I just want to know what classes people THINK run the best and WHY. So.. anyone have an OPINION?

There are just too many race/class combinations for anyone to make more than an educated guess on most of them, really. It also matters what you're looking for: some classes, such as many warriors, are harder to run with at first because of a lack of healing/defense/endurance, but become vastly superior later when the character is large enough to eliminate those limitations.

Thus, it's hard to answer your question without more specifics. I'll take a stab at it from the point of view of a complete newbie (no plats to invest, just starting from scratch). My guesses would be:

Fallad (caster race) ... pets, healing
Healer (caster race) ... pets, healing
Wizard (caster race) ... pets
Barbarian (Ryven, Troll) ... endurance will limit you, but still good damage
Monk (Ryven, defensive race) ... good damage, limited healing, simple
Sorcerer (caster race) ... does good damage at lower stats, resonance drain
Witch (caster race) ... does good damage at lower stats, resonance drain
Warlock (will race) ... good hit, good damage, good NR

But I'm sure they're by no means the only or even the best options. :)
